How to watch all the best games of Thanksgiving weekend

It’s Thanksgiving weekend. Now that the pleasantries have all been taken care of and the leftovers have been packed for hopefully easy access, it’s time for some self-care. Dive into our viewers’ guide of the most compelling sports events of the weekend, along with some reasons why you should wave goodbye to the family and settle into your easy chair.

⚽ 8 a.m.: Qatar vs. Senegal (FS1)

⚽ 11 a.m.: Netherlands vs. Ecuador (Fox)

🏈 Noon: No. 21 Tulane at No. 25 Cincinnati (ABC)

⚽ 2 p.m.: England vs. United States (Fox)

Christian Pulisic of the United States men’s national team

A rematch of their famous clash at Bunker Hill, with only slightly less on the line. The U.S. would love to snatch a win or even a draw here against the favored English team — or the Americans will be in serious peril of not advancing from World Cup Group B. Can Christian Pulisic summon another magic moment, such as he had in setting up the U.S. goal in a 1-1 draw with Wales? Can goalkeeper Matt Turner and the defense fend off an England attack that roared to six goals in its World Cup opener? This might be as good as it gets for Team USA in this World Cup, so don’t miss it.

🏈 3:30 p.m.: No. 24 NC State at No. 13 North Carolina (ABC)

Here’s a great chance to put eyes on Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye. According to The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy, there is “buzz in the scouting community that the big-armed dual-threat Maye,” who is eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft, “is a better prospect than both Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud.”

🏈 4:30 pm: No. 16 UCLA at Cal (Fox)

🏀 5:30 p.m.: No. 1 North Carolina vs. Iowa State (ESPN)

7 p.m.: Duke vs. Alabama (ESPN+)

The first of four quarterfinals in the NCAA women’s soccer tournament kicks off Friday night, to be followed by three more on Saturday evening, also on ESPN+. All four No. 1 seeds remain alive: Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame and title favorite UCLA. Duke looks to spring the upset here with goalkeeper Ruthie Jones, also known as Daniel Jones’ younger sister.

🏀 7:30 p.m.: Trail Blazers at Knicks (MSG)

The Knicks are back at the Garden, where they have been less than convincing, after quieting critics with a 3-2 road trip. The Trail Blazers enter as losers of four in a row, and they’re missing star point guard Damian Lillard due to a calf strain. Trap game, anyone?

🏀 7:30 p.m.: No. 3 Kansas vs. No. 22 Tennessee (ESPN)

🏈 7:30 p.m.: Florida at Florida St. (ABC)

🏀 8 p.m.: Nets at Pacers (YES)

🏒 8 p.m.: Devils at Sabres (MSGSN) … Islanders at Blue Jackets (MSGSN2)

Shout out to the Devils, 13-1 in their past 14 games.

🏀 10:30 p.m.: Nuggets at Clippers (NBA TV)

What better way to end a long day working in front of the TV than with a potential Western Conference Final preview? Take just a few minutes to watch two-time MVP Nikola Jokic operate, especially when he is zipping “I have to rewind and watch that again”-type passes. There may not be a player in the game today who sees the floor better. And though the Clippers have rarely been healthy enough to be the fully formed version of what they can be, there’s a Finals contender within that roster, which may be the NBA’s deepest and most versatile.

5 a.m.: Tunisia vs Australia (FS1)

What you can’t miss here is … Just kidding! We’re not saying wake up at 5 in the morning. We’re not mean.

8 a.m.: Poland vs. Saudi Arabia (FS1)

Saudi Arabia pulled off the upset of the tournament by knocking off Argentina in its World Cup opener. A “result” — meaning a win or a draw — in this matchup against a low-octane Poland team could mean a shocking spot in the Round of 16.

11 a.m.: France vs. Denmark (FS1)

🏈 Noon: No. 3 Michigan at No. 2 Ohio State (Fox)

Blake Corum #2 of the Michigan Wolverines celebrates his first half touchdown with J.J. McCarthy #9 while playing the Illinois Fighting Illini at Michigan Stadium on November 19, 2022 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Over the past 10 years, this game has averaged more than 69 combined points. That whole three-yards-and-a-cloud of dust style from the Bo Schembechler-Woody Hayes era has given way to an annual offensive fireworks show filled with NFL talent and, this year, national championship implications. Will C.J. Stroud prove he’s worthy of being the No. 1 QB (or No. 1 overall pick) in next year’s draft? Will the Jim Harbaugh-NFL rumors start to recirculate? Are there still enough leftovers in your fridge to get through this game before heading back to the store for reinforcements?

🏈 Noon: Georgia Tech at No. 1 Georgia (ESPN) … South Carolina at No. 8 Clemson (ABC)

🏒 1 p.m.: Oilers at Rangers (MSG, NHL Network)

🏈 2 p.m.: Fordham at New Hampshire (ESPN+)

If you don’t know the name Tim DeMorat, learn it. The senior quarterback is putting up video-game numbers to lead Fordham (9-2) into the first round of the FCS playoffs. Last week, DeMorat threw for 503 yards and six touchdowns, bringing his season totals to 4,561 yards (414.6 per game) and 53 touchdowns (against eight interceptions) with a 65.7 completion percentage. In the spring, he’ll be an NFL Draft prospect. Here, he’s trying to keep the Rams’ season alive.

🏀 2 p.m.: Niagara at St. John’s (FS2)

The 6-0 Johnnies!

2 p.m.: Argentina vs. Mexico (FS1)

Argentina's Lionel Messi reacts after missing a chance during the World Cup group C soccer match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
Argentina superstar Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi and the Argentina team have their backs against the wall after the stunning loss to Saudi Arabia. It will be high theater to see what they come up with against Mexico. Here’s hoping they bounce back and make a deep run.

🏈 3:30 p.m.: Auburn at No. 8 Alabama (CBS)

The Crimson Tide are favored by more than three touchdowns in this year’s edition of the Iron Bowl. But hey, it will be more competitive next year when Lane Kiffin is leading the Tigers against Nick Saban’s juggernaut, right?

🏈 3:30 p.m.: No. 9 Oregon at No. 21 Oregon State (ESPN)

🏈 4 p.m.: Iowa State at No. 4 TCU (Fox) … Michigan State at No. 11 Penn State (FS1)

🏀 5 p.m.: Mavericks @ Raptors (League Pass)

Andre Curbelo (3) of St. John's smiles as he breaks away with a steal against Syracuse.
Andre Curbelo and St. John’s put their unbeaten start on the line this weekend.

🏈 7 p.m.: No. 5 LSU at Texas A&M (ESPN)

🏒 7 p.m.: Capitals at Devils (MSG)

🏒 7:30 p.m.: Flyers at Islanders (MSGSN)

🏈 7:30 p.m.: No. 18 Notre Dame at No. 7 USC (ABC)

Southern California quarterback Caleb Williams, left, runs with the ball while being chased by UCLA defensive lineman Sitiveni Havili-Kaufusi during the first half of an NCAA college football game Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022.
USC quarterback Caleb Williams

The Trojans may be playing to get into the College Football Playoff after either Ohio State or Michigan loses earlier in the day. And while Notre Dame is no juggernaut, they are a legit test for a USC team that has failed to score at least 40 in every game but two, is two points away from being undefeated and has arguably the Heisman favorite under center in Caleb Williams. Yes, your eyes may be getting a little bleary from all the football, but you’ve come this far, you can’t give up on the weekend yet.

🏈 8 p.m.: Kansas at No. 12 Kansas State (Fox)

💪 8 p.m.: WWE Survivor Series (Peacock)

Now for something a little different. Any professional wrestling fans in the house? The main attraction at WWE’s big fall show this year is a pair of WarGames gimmick matches in which two teams of five wrestlers square off in two adjoining rings that are surrounded by a super-sized steel cage. World champion Roman Reigns leads his Bloodline team in the men’s WarGames match. The women’s match could feature a surprise entrant — Sasha Banks? Becky Lynch? — on the babyface team.

🏈 10:30 p.m.: No. 13 Washington at Washington State (ESPN)

⚽ 5 a.m.: Japan vs. Costa Rica (FS1)

⚽ 8 a.m.: Belgium vs. Morocco (FS1)

⚽ 11 a.m.: Croatia vs. Canada (FS1)

🏀 1 p.m.: No. 3 UConn/Duke vs. No. 9 Iowa/Oregon State (ABC)

Connecticut's Azzi Fudd, left, is guarded by NC State's Madison Hayes, right during the first half of an NCAA basketball game, Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022.
UConn guard Azzi Fudd

When UConn and Iowa joined this Phil Knight-branded mini-tournament back in the preseason, it set up a potential clash in the final on broadcast TV between UConn’s Paige Bueckers and Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, the two most exciting guards in women’s college basketball. Then Bueckers tore her ACL, so the potential final … still features the two most exciting guards in the women’s game. Azzi Fudd, a sophomore with the prettiest shooting stroke this side of Steph Curry (he’s a big fan), has stepped up for UConn in the absence of her best friend Bueckers, averaging 30 points per game in the early going. Clark, who led Division I in points and assists last season, is at 26.8.

🏈 1 p.m.: Bears at Jets

Jets quarterback Mike White (5) at practice in Florham Park, NJ
Mike White takes over as the Jets’ QB1 against the Bears following Zach Wilson’s benching.
Bill Kostroun

The Jets interrupted their few-frills surprise playoff run this week with some old-fashioned drama, benching quarterback Zach Wilson — last year’s No. 2 overall pick is getting a “reset” — and giving the job to Mike White. No pressure, Mike, now just keep the home-crowd doomsayers happy and don’t dare mess up as 6-point favorites against a bad Bears team starring Justin Fields and his a dangling left arm.

🏈 1 p.m.: Broncos at Panthers … Buccaneers at Browns … Ravens at Jaguars … Texans at Dolphins … Bengals at Titans … Falcons at Commanders (Sunday Ticket, NFL RedZone, your local bar)

Uh, not really missing anything here. It’s safe to watch the Jets.

⚽ 2 p.m.: Spain vs. Germany (FS1)

Spain looked like world beaters in a tourney-opening 7-0 rout of Costa Rica. Germany did not, losing 2-1 to Japan to put its World Cup hopes on life support. With the Germans — who won the World Cup in 2014 — all of a sudden having so much to play for, this might be the best match of the entire group stage.

🏀 3 p.m.: Trail Blazers at Nets (YES)

Always interesting to see what’s going on at Barclays Center — Ben Simmons looking spry! Up to 10th place! — as well as to track what kind of sideshow is happening outside.

🏈 4:05 p.m.: Chargers at Cardinals (CBS) … Raiders at Seahawks

Spain's Gavi, left, celebrates with Spain's Alejandro Balde after scoring his side's fifth goal during the World Cup group E soccer match between Spain and Costa Rica.
Gavi (left) celebrates scoring a goal for Spain.

🏈 4:25 p.m.: Rams at Chiefs (Fox) … Saints at 49ers

🏀 6 p.m.: Grizzlies at Knicks (MSG)

Quick straw poll: Would you say Julius Randle is having a good season? He’s averaging 20.8 points and 8.8 rebounds, and shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from 3.

🏀 8 p.m.: Mavericks at Bucks (NBA TV)

🏈 8:20 p.m.: Packers at Eagles (NBC)

Just asking: Why did Aaron Rodgers keep his broken thumb a secret for a month and a half, only to reveal it now?
